Man's Worth

It doesn't really matter,
How long we are alive.
Or much knowledge you gather,
That helps you to survive.

What really counts a lot,
Are what thoughs of you remain.
It's not the possessions you've got,
But the values you leave ingrained.

A man is measured by his worth,
Not in the money he amasses.
He he has no money at his birth,
And so it is when he passes.

But the good should still exist,
And not go with his soul.
Instead life gives an unfair twist,
Changing that noble goal.

That makes money now the root of life,
And no good values to uphold.
Hence the cause of all the strife,
Making most too cold.
